The problem
The problem
Decoriq Gallery had built a real offline business in Nairobi: handcrafted epoxy resin wall art, statement wall clocks, decor pieces and multifunctional furniture like sofa-beds, storage beds, foldable tables and floating shelves. Walk-in customers converted well and referrals were steady.
But digitally, they did not exist. No website, no online catalogue, no way to buy anything without visiting the workshop, no email list, and no advertising running anywhere. Anyone who searched for epoxy wall art or space-saving furniture in Kenya would never find them.
The founder, Christopher Lewis, wanted to be introduced to the online space properly: a real storefront people could buy from, a way to stay in touch with buyers, and paid campaigns that brought in orders consistently rather than by chance.
The solution
The solution
Between March and May we designed and built decoriqgallery.shop as a fully functional, category-first e-commerce store. Visitors land on a hero that signals the craftsmanship, then move into four clear collections: Wall Art, Furniture, Decor Pieces and Wall Clocks. Every product page is built for mobile buyers, with fast-loading photography, short specific copy, integrated payments and one clear call-to-action.
We then set up their email marketing from scratch and automated it. Newsletter capture on the storefront, a welcome sequence for new subscribers, abandoned-cart reminders, order confirmations and post-purchase follow-ups all run without anyone having to send a message manually.
Since March we have been running Google Ads for the store: Search campaigns on high-intent decor and furniture queries, Shopping campaigns on the top-selling SKUs, and retargeting to bring browsers back to finish checkout. Creative and search terms are reviewed weekly and budget is shifted to whatever is producing orders. Those campaigns are still live and managed by us today.
How we did it
Our process, step by step.
Discovery (March)
Interviewed the founder, audited the offline sales process and picked the launch product range.
Storefront design
Designed a warm, craft-forward store that made the work look as premium as it is in person.
Development
Built decoriqgallery.shop with category-first navigation, mobile-optimised checkout and integrated payments.
Email marketing setup
Built the list capture, then automated welcome, abandoned-cart, order confirmation and post-purchase sequences.
Google Ads launch (March)
Search, Shopping and retargeting campaigns launched alongside the build and scaled as products went live.
Ongoing management
Weekly search-term and creative reviews, product page CRO, and monthly reporting on spend versus orders.
The outcome
The outcome
The store went live in May as a fully functional shop, and Decoriq Gallery went from zero online orders to a steady 60 or more per month. Google Ads settled at roughly 3.4x return on ad spend after the first two rounds of creative and search-term cleanup.
The automated email flows now recover a meaningful share of abandoned carts and drive repeat purchases from a list of over 1,200 subscribers opening at around 38%. Christopher no longer depends on walk-ins and WhatsApp alone; the business has an online storefront, an owned audience, and paid campaigns we continue to run and optimise every week.
"Just look at our site bro. From vision to execution and we also rank top in search engines, in just a month. All thanks to Pulse Digital."
